The test strip may be damaged or not properly inserted.  Remove and reinsert the test strip or replace if damaged.

Your blood glucose may be extremely high or a meter or test strip error has occurred.  If your test result does not match how you feel, repeat the blood glucose test.

If the E-3 code still appears, your blood glucose may be extremely high. Follow the relevant instructions given by your healthcare professional immediately and repeat the test.

The blood or control solution drop was applied to the test strip too late.

Retest with new strip.

Not enough blood or control solution was drawn into the test strip or was applied after the test had started.

Retest with new strip.

The blood or control solution was applied to the test strip before the Apply drop message appeared.

Retest with new strip.

An electronic error occurred, or in rare cases, a used test strip was removed and reinserted.

Remove the batteries, press any button, and reinsert the batteries.  Perform a blood glucose or control test.

The temperature is above or below the proper operating range of the system (10 °C to 40 °C).

• Move meter to correct temperature, wait 5 minutes and repeat the blood glucose or control test. Do not artificially heat or cool the meter.

The batteries are out of power.

Change the batteries now. If the message reappears after the batteries have been replaced, slide the battery drawer out of the meter, press and hold the Power/OK button for at least 2 seconds, then reinsert the battery drawer into position.

The time and date settings may be incorrect. Make sure the time and date are correct and adjust, if necessary.

Your meter measures blood glucose within a defined range (0.6 to 33.3 mmol/L).

The blood glucose result is greater than 33.3 mmol/L.

Follow the relevant instructions given by your healthcare professional immediately and repeat the test.

Your meter measures blood glucose within a defined range (0.6 to 33.3 mmol/L).

The blood glucose result is lower than 0.6 mmol/L.

The display LO may indicate that your blood glucose is very low (possibly a severe hypoglycemia). Follow the relevant instructions given by your healthcare professional immediately and repeat the test.

The meter turns on. Preparing to test appears.

Analyzing appears when there is enough control solution in the test strip.

It is time to apply a drop of blood or control solution.

The battery power is getting low.

Change the batteries soon. If the battery symbol reappears after the batteries have been replaced, slide the battery drawer out of the meter, press the On/Off/OK button for at least 2 seconds, then reinsert the battery drawer into position.
 

• Batteries are dead. Insert new batteries.
• Display is damaged. Contact Accu-Chek Customer Care at 1-800-363-7949.
• Meter is defective. Contact Accu-Chek Customer Care at 1-800-363-7949.
• Temperature is too high or too low. Move the meter to a more temperate area.
