COVID-19 Communication

Dear patients,

During the past few weeks, the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has resulted in countless changes to our daily life—by affecting our home, our work, and our leisure time—that reveals the unique nature of this outbreak.

As your healthcare partner, we understand the concern you may feel about COVID-19.

How does COVID-19 affect those living with diabetes?

Some people living with diabetes face a higher chance of experiencing more severe symptoms and complications from COVID-19. As such, we want to emphasize the importance of minimizing the risk by being proactive with your prevention strategies, including the need for you to be prepared with an adequate stock of diabetes testing supplies. For those who routinely monitor their blood glucose, on the advice of their clinical team, they should continue to do this more often.1 Visit Diabetes Canada for more information.

As per the recommended measures1 by Diabetes Canada, always have enough diabetes supplies for a couple of weeks ahead, in case you get sick or cannot refill.

Patient safety is our top priority. Rest assured that we are closely monitoring the situation and our product supply to ensure all Accu-Chek® products are available as usual.

From our Accu-Chek family to yours, wishing you only good health.
